At Living Goods, our community impact is driven by the dedicated leadership of our field managers. One such leader is Doreen Lungogo, the Regional Field Manager for Busia County, Kenya.

With her team of 38 staff members, Doreen’s key priority is ensuring that Busia’s community has access to essential health services. She does this by training and supporting the 2,190 Community Health Promoters (CHPs) trained by Living Goods.

Doreen has been a vital part of Living Goods since 2015, starting as a Community Health Supervisor and rising to her current role as Regional Manager. She attributes her professional growth to the capacity-building training provided by Living Goods.

Celebrated for her exemplary leadership, passion for communities, and remarkable teamwork, Doreen’s secret lies in her laser focus on data for decision-making. She takes time to understand the data, identifies strengths and gaps in program delivery, and harnesses her staff’s strengths to deliver their mandate. She aims to ensure the community has access to the best healthcare, thereby improving their livelihoods.

“For me, data is not just numbers – they represent lives. So, the first thing I do when I arrive at the office every day is to review the dashboards to see how we are performing against the timelines and targets.  This helps me to make decisions on which sites need to be prioritized and supported.”
